Just in case you haven’t spotted it, the bbq that was cancelled due to floods in July is on again this coming Saturday. The venue is Randle Manor, Barton (a couple of miles south of Welford-on-Avon); the time is 5.00pm.

Steve and Amanda have already hosted a Sunday run tea stop earlier this year which was almost rained off, so this is another opportunity to visit their 17th century mansion. Yes it really is 17th century (it’s not really a mansion though), which makes it older than the Chairman and Lance Ravenhill put together!!

If you would like to go to the bbq, get in touch with Steve smartly (s.randle@randle.co.uk) and he may be able to squeeze you in at the 11th hour.

A bit late reporting this one but triathlon fans might like to know about the superb results by Club members in the Stratford Tri this year.

John Stather won his age category with some ease by almost two minutes and came third overall, just less than a minute behind the winner!

Debbie Cooper won the ladies event (also making it look easy) just over three minutes ahead of her nearest rival! Debbie’s time would have earned her a top 50 place (out of 550) in the men’s event.

Well done to Debbie and John.

Congratulations to club member Mac McGready who added to his medal haul in the National Championships on Sunday. Mac rode the club beginners ride on Saturday with his daughter Erin on their tandem; he claimed he was not going well and Erin was doing all the work!

He still had enough energy left to take the silver medal on Sunday on a very tough uphill finish.

Well done Mac.
